| This tour begins at the Steinbach border point, takes us through the beautiful Bavarian countryside below the Reiter Alm mountain range, through Unterjettenberg and ends just before reaching the Saalachsee near Bad Reichenhall. This stretch of river also offers the opportunity to jump into a refreshing water-filled hole in the rocks. The Lower Saalach River is suitable for family rafting trips and for beginners. Length of tour: 15km Degree of difficulty: WW 2-3 depending on water level. (from the end of July/August dependent on rainfall). Passable all year round.
